Ankylomon took a step backward as soon as he had heard Eugene's imperative to "finish him", lurching his body to the side and letting the ball hit him. He wasn't fast enough to dodge anything the Greymon X would throw at him and he knew that - that was why he was covered in his thick hide after all. You couldn't get more defensively equipped than he. After a few moments of the excruciating burning of the fireball, it dissipated, and Ankylomon shook his body, turning back to face the Greymon X and rushing it (rushing not being quite the term, but ah well) in his Armor Stampede, leaping at the Greymon in a powerful tackle.

Obviously the data collection would take awhile, even while being modified he hadn't been completed yet... Aside from that he wasn't in possession of his D-Trigger either. Troublesome.
At this point data that had been losened by Greymon's attack was being absorbed, starting at his feet. He just needed three minutes.

Greymon X roared, his head bending down as he called "GREAT ANTLER!" and bum-rushed the tackling Ankylomon, hoping to land his horn in its face.

The antlers smacked into Ankylomon, though the large dinosaurlike Digimon bowed his head just in time to leave only the plated top available to be hit. As the antler of Greymon slammed against it, he slid the antler across his head with the high-pitched keening of two hard surfaces on each other until one of his own powerful horns was engaged in the power struggle against Greymon X's antler. "Not... so fast!" growled Ankylomon, grinning rather sarcastically, not bothering to glance back though he was wondering why Dorumon and its human weren't doing anything to help.

Time, he still needed more time... jumping about on platforms of rotting fractal code until he found another clean spot to begin absorbing again. Oh how he missed his cards right now... But those if only if onlys wouldn't get you anywhere in life. That was certain.

Eugene jumped out of the way as he called to Greymon X, "The momentum's enough! Now!" Greymon X nodded, de-digivolving before jumping out of the way to watch Ankylomon fall to the ground.

Nearly there, and he was still straining to make it go faster. Glancing back towards the battleground he watched the Greymon de-digivolve... Just what was that other boy planning... And for what purpose?

Ankylomon had been forcing his own weight upward in his efforts against the Greymon X's horns, and where that antler had been a second before was now thin air. Ankylomon stumbled forward, trunklike legs causing the ground to shake as he attempted to regain his balance with shuffling steps. "Li'l ass...!" he yelped, hanging on to his own weight as best he could and gritting his teeth, righting himself. He mustn't fall over, lest it be a situation like that of turtles - this time he'd managed to stay upright. He still wasn't quite recovered enough from the sudden shift to attack, but now all he was facing was an Agumon...!

Eugene twirled his D-1, a sarcastic smile appearing his face. His eyes snapped evilly as he pointed his digivice at Agumon. A yellow flash of light escaped it, hitting Agumon, who began to change instantly.
"Agumon, Shinka!" Agumon called, becoming taller, growing a pair of wings, and appearing more machine-like. "RiseGreymon!" he called, breaking from the light of evolution. Aiming his trident gun at Ankylomon, he roared out "TRIDENT REVOLVER!", firing out three bullets at the dinosaur Digimon.

Just in the nick of time. Violet rings of Digicode had surrounded the human boy's arm as he pointed it, not at RiseGreymon but rather at the circling trio... With RiseGreymon right behind them, as he spoke for the first time towards either of them.
"Final... Elysian..."
An erruption of white light seemed to burst from an invisible cannon as it rocketed towards the Dragon's Trident Revolver. If it pierced the attack, it would most likely continue on to hit the Perfect level Digimon as well.

"Oh, f**k you," the Ankylomon breathed as he watched the Agumon evolve again. "Cheating bastard...!!" No time to evolve himself right now, only time to take whatever beating the RiseGreymon threw at him.
There was no way he was dodging any gunfire, and even his tough shell wouldn't be able to stand too much of a barrage. He buckled up and pushed himself to the ground, preparing for the bullets to hit with one green eye closed.
And then, out of nowhere, a savior! He blinked at the sudden burst of light and the fact he hadn't been pummeled by multiple bullets, squinting against it. "Well whaddaya know, he finally joined the fight," he growled, backing himself up while he had time.

RiseGreymon had taken the blast of light to the metallic part of his chest. The metal barely singed, and the damage wasn't too great. Expanding his wings to their maximum size, RiseGreymon roared out "RISING DESTROYER!" He flew up, the six poles charging with pink light. Without so much as a second warning, the sharp beams of light exploded from the poles (HA!), firing at the boy and the Ankylomon.

But it was Cyberdramon, not Ankylomon, who faced the blows from the Rising Destroyer attack. Though Keiran's attack hadn't done much, it had given Ankylomon the opening and distraction he needed to Digivolve again. As Cyberdramon, he was much faster, a godsend after not being able to dodge at all in his bulky, slow Ankylomon form.
There was no way he was sticking around for more of this. From what he could see this guy wasn't affiliated with his mortal enemies the Liberation side, so he had no beef with him.
Not to mention he was still hungry...
Cyberdramon relatively zipped into action, his own wings extending, the Digimon taking flight as quickly as possible in order to get away. On a second thought, he swooped down and grabbed Keiran - where was this kid's Digimon? He shouldn't have to degrade himself to rescuing people like this - and swooped off, shooting the other Digimon a last "Later, sucker!"

"RiseGreymon!" Eugene called, jumping onto his Digimons shoulder (who had bent down to allow Eugene to do so), "after them!"
"Yes, Aniki!" RiseGreymon said, getting up as he charged off after Cyberdramon. But, he was stealthy. He flew up into the clouds, hiding himself from view.
"Excellent plan, RiseGreymon. When they least expect it, we'll swoop down and kill them..." Eugene said, an evil creep in his voice.
